Key Features of MNRE Subsidy

1. For Residential Solar Rooftop Systems

   • The Indian government provides a subsidy of up to 40% for solar rooftop systems (up to 3 kW).
   • For systems between 3 kW and 10 kW, the subsidy is 20%.
   • No subsidy is provided for systems above 10 kW.

2. For Agricultural Solar Pumps

   • Under the PM-KUSUM scheme, farmers receive up to 60% subsidy for installing solar water pumps to replace diesel pumps.

3. For Institutions & NGOs

   • Educational institutions, hospitals, and NGOs may receive subsidies or incentives for installing solar energy systems.

How to Apply for MNRE Subsidy?

1. Visit the official National Portal for Rooftop Solar (solarrooftop.gov.in).
2. Register with your electricity provider.
3. Get the system installed by an MNRE-approved vendor.
4. Apply for subsidy approval and verification.
5. Once approved, the subsidy amount is credited directly to your bank account.
